Ng Kin Wee, trained in RAD, studied ballet under Ms.Lim Fei Shen and Ms.Goh Soo Khim in Singapore. In 1983 he won a year scholarship to further his ballet training at The Washington School of Ballet and thereafter continued studying the Boumeville and Bolshoi technique in the U.S. Between 1986 and 19911 he was assistant teacher in ballet and choreography for the dance department at South Illinois University.Since returning to Singapore, he has been actively teaching at various dance schools as well as dance professionally with Odyssey Dance Theatre, a contemporary dance company from 2000 to 2001. In 2003, he performed with Ballet Magnificat when they collaborated with Singapore dancers in "Deliver Us" and he was also the rehearsal assistant. Later of 2003, he completed the 6 year Vaganova syllabus conducted by John White of Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet,Philadelphia, USA.Currently, Kin Wee teaches the Vaganova style in Singapore and guest teaches at the Ninth State Movement Complex, Plymouth, New Hampshire, USA every summer.
